Terms
The agreement between Vardivo and a restaurant using it, in plain words.
Effective 19 September 2026. If we change this page we will update this date, and we will tell restaurants using Vardivo before a change that affects them takes effect.
1. Who these terms are for
These terms are between Vardivo and the business that runs a waitlist with it. If you are a guest who scanned a QR code at a door, you are not signing anything — you are joining a queue, and the privacy page is the one that concerns you.
2. What Vardivo does
Vardivo is a QR waitlist. Your guests join from their own phones, they see their place in line, and your staff call, message and seat them from the staff app. It is not a reservations-and-floor-plan system, it does not take payments from your guests, and it does not promise anyone a table.
3. Getting access
We are onboarding restaurants one at a time, by hand. Access is arranged with us; there is no self-serve signup yet. We enrol your staff devices, and you are responsible for who you hand an enrolled device or an enrolment code to. Tell us promptly if a device is lost and we will revoke it.
4. Plans and fees
The Free plan includes one location and 80 guest joins each calendar month, and it does not expire. Paid plans and their prices are agreed with each restaurant when access is arranged; there is no public price list yet. Prices are per location, per month. There is no checkout on this site today, so nothing is charged to you until we have agreed a plan with you in writing and you have paid it.
Prices shown in rupees do not include GST. Any tax that applies is added at checkout, and you will see the exact total before you pay. Prices shown in one currency are not a quote in another, and which currency you can be billed in depends on your billing country.
Starter carries a fair-use ceiling of 3,000 joins per location each month. We do not meter you to the rupee or cut a queue off mid-service for going over; we talk to you about the right plan.
5. What happens when a plan's limit is reached
If a location on the Free plan reaches its monthly joins, new guests stop being able to add themselves online. Everything already in your queue keeps working: your staff can still call, message, seat and cancel every party in it, and a confirmed booking is still honoured. We will not restrict a working venue without telling you at least 14 days beforehand.
6. Your side of it
- Use Vardivo for your own guests, for genuine walk-ins and bookings.
- You decide what happens with your guests' details, so make sure you are entitled to collect them and to message them. Where we send a WhatsApp table-ready message for you, the guest is told on the join page before they join — do not switch messaging on for numbers collected some other way.
- Do not put anything into Vardivo that you would not want a guest to read, and do not enter one guest's details as another's.
- Do not try to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, and do not resell it as your own.
- Follow the law that applies to you.
7. Our side of it
We will run Vardivo with reasonable care and keep it available as best we can. We do not promise a particular uptime on the Free plan. We may take the service down briefly for maintenance, and we will avoid your service hours when we can. We may change how Vardivo works — we will not remove something you rely on without notice.
We may suspend a location that is being used to harm guests, to break the law, or in a way that threatens the service for everyone else. Where the problem is not urgent we will ask you to fix it first.
8. Your data
Your queue data is yours. We hold it for you, we use it to run the service for you, and we delete guest names and numbers on the schedule described in the privacy page. If you stop using Vardivo, ask us and we will return what we hold for you in a readable form, then delete it.
9. Stopping
You can stop using Vardivo whenever you like. We can end this agreement if you do not pay, or for a serious breach of section 6 that you do not fix.
10. Not settled yet
Three things belong in an agreement like this and are deliberately not written here, because nobody has decided them and we are not going to invent them: refund terms, limits of liability, and the governing law and dispute process. All three will be finalised with counsel before paid plans launch, and published here before anyone is asked to pay. Until then nothing on this page purports to limit any right you have.
What we can tell you plainly in the meantime: Vardivo helps you run a queue, it does not run your restaurant, and nothing here is a promise about covers seated, guests who did not arrive, or a message a phone network did not deliver.
11. Changes and contact
If we change these terms we will update the effective date above and tell restaurants using Vardivo before the change takes effect. Questions go to promragger@icloud.com.
